Oct. 22 ‘Gallery Grab’ Benefit Marks Gala Occasion

The Catskill Art Society is pleased to announce the 2011 CAS Gallery Grab Benefit, Saturday, Oct. 22, 6 to 9 p.m., The Gallery Grab is an annual fundraising gala in which 25 lucky guests will be able to leave with a work by a local artist and everyone else will take home a special gift.  But there’s more…

This year’s Gallery Grab is a momentous event because it celebrate CAS’s 40th anniversary (1971 – 2011) and it welcomes a new and more stable future in the community – CAS is now in contract for the purchase of their fabulous space.  After only four years in residence at 48 Main Street in Livingston Manor, CAS has seized a wonderful opportunity to secure its future for the next 40 years and beyond.  CAS invites everyone to join in the launch of its 40th Anniversary Fund Drive at the Gallery Grab, asking participants, members and the community to contribute an additional $40, $400, or $4,000 to their regular gift.

In addition to the Grab, the evening includes a celebratory cocktail reception, a light supper catered by the Lazy Beagle, a CAS birthday cake from Flour Power Bakery, a DJ and dancing.  Tickets to the Gallery Grab Benefit are $100 per person and are on sale now.  For more information or to RSVP (by October 14), please call 845-436-4227 or email kathryn@catskillartsociety.org.

Catskill Art Society is a non-profit, cultivating public interest, participation, and enjoyment of the arts.  Through its multi-arts center, CAS explores contemporary art practices and facilitates creative and professional development for established and emerging artists.
