Ann Higgins Watercolors at Manor Library

Basking, a watercolor by artist Ann Higgins

Livingston Manor, NY — Livingston Manor Library is pleased to announce an exhibit by well-known Grahamsville watercolorist Ann Higgins. Ann Higgins has been teaching art and painting in the Catskills for many years. She exhibits regularly with the Catskill Art Society, the Orange County Watercolor Society and the five national Miniature Art Societies and has won awards in regional, national and international exhibits.

A native of Pennsylvania, Ann taught art for Liberty Central School after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. Today, while largely retired from active education, she still sometimes teaches for the Catskill Art Society and privately. Ann has become deeply focused on watercolor and pen allowing her to be both free and precise in her work and, like many Catskill artists, she finds these beautiful mountains and valleys a strong inspiration. The Livingston Manor Library is located at 92 Main Street, across from the firehouse. For more information call 439-5440. Ann Higgins work will be on exhibit during August and September.
