Livingston Manor, NY – The Board of Directors of Catskill Art Society (CAS) has appointed Bradley Diuguid as Executive Director, effective February 15, 2013. Originally from Monticello, NY, Diuguid is currently the Operations and Audience Services Manager for Puppet Showplace Theatre in Brookline, MA, where he leads administration and business management for the arts education and presenting organization.

Diuguid earned an Ed.M. in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and graduated magna cum laude from SUNY New Paltz, where he earned double bachelor’s degrees in Theatre Arts and English.
He went on to work in arts administration and advancement at
award-winning organizations and schools, including Waterwell, The
Juilliard School, the American Repertory Theater, and Roundabout
Theatre Company. As an educator, Diuguid taught classes, directed and
devised work with companies like the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival and
Long Wharf Theatre, among others.

“CAS’s Board conducted an extensive search to fill the position of
Executive Director and had the opportunity to interview several
qualified candidates based here in the Catskills and from a variety of
other locations around the country,” said Charlie Irace, President,
Catskill Art Society, Board of Directors. “We are thrilled to have
found Bradley. His professional experience, interests in the
performing arts and education and understanding and appreciation of
this area will be extremely helpful to managing the current facility
and as we begin to explore ways to expand the CAS Arts Center into the
second floor space.”

Diuguid will replace Ann Manby, who became Executive Director in 2012
after serving as a Director on CAS’s Board for several years, and
following Kathryn Tufano’s departure to join MASS MoCA. Manby is
stepping down to focus on her work as the owner of Brookside
Farmhouse, a Roscoe vacation rental property; Red Fern Interactive, a
marketing and public relations service provider; and Sugar Blossom
Flowers, which offers fresh flowers for events, holidays and special
occasions, and a Summer Flower Share program featuring locally-grown
flowers from multiple growers each year.
