Livingston Manor Alive with Birds of Prey

Livingston Manor, NY – Excitement is building for Livingston Manor’s second annual Bird of Prey Day on Saturday, September 21 from 10am to 3pm. The Livingston Manor Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to start your
day on Main Street. There will be free coffee and breakfast pastries at Café 43 from 9:00 – 10:30 AM, a live owl presentation across the street at 10 AM, and the opening of “Raptors Through the Lens” photography exhibit by Jerry Cohen at Morgan Outdoors from 9:30 AM on at 46 Main Street.
Then stroll over the pedestrian bridge to the Livingston Manor Central School (LMCS) where the fun continues. Ball fields will be used to fly raptors, the gym will be the location for lectures and raptor displays, and an outdoor Bird of Prey tent will house live raptors and their handlers. The event is hosted by Peter Chiavaro, a general falconer and resident of Livingston Manor. Dozens of bird of prey are expected to be on hand for the event.
