Morgan Outdoors will host the Catskills Astronomy Club for a Pre-eclipse Solar Viewing on August 19th, out front on the sidewalk at 1pm. The Club will set up telescopes with solar filters. A great opportunity to learn more about our closest star AND the Solar Eclipse happening on Monday, Aug. 21st! Pick up a pair of Thousand Oaks Optical certified Solar Viewer glasses to protect those baby blues while looking at the sun.
Monday, Aug. 14th at 3:00pm, join John Kocijanski of the Catskills Astronomy Club at Morgan Outdoors for a Solar Eclipse poster-making workshop. We’ll make colorful posters that teach others about the upcoming eclipse. They’ll be on view during our Solar Viewing session on Saturday, Aug. 19th, and in our windows for passers by to enjoy. All participants enter drawing for a solar-powered Luci Light! RSVP: reserve a spot at 845 439 5507.
