The abundant natural resources provide for a large number of species of wildlife, both flora and fauna.

The Catskill Park is home to 6 major NY water systems, which supply NYC with water and some of the world's best trout streams.


 

 
 
Ninety-eight peaks over 3,000 feet high form an impressive skyline. Since its creation in 1885, the Catskill park has grown from 34,000 to almost 300,000 acres.

Public land usage includes: Hiking, biking, skiing, picnic and day use areas.
