Wildlife Watch


From the Robin Hood Diner parking lot in Livingston Manor,
turn Right towards the Citgo Station,
After you cross the bridge, turn right onto Main Street
continue through a traffic light.

Take right onto Creamery Road (across from Fire House) and follow signs to
Livingston Manor Covered Bridge (Town Road 39) on the famous Willowemoc.
Travel over the Covered Bridge to C.R. 179.
Turn Left proceed to C.R. 81 (Old Rt. 17)

At stop sign, turn left past King's Catering House
Turn Right onto Beaverkill Road (C.R. 52)
Travel for 7.2 miles to the Hamlet of Lew Beach.
Cross the bridge and continue straight for 11 miles to Turnwood.

After green bridge in the sharp turn, take the immediate left on to Alder Creek Road.
You will pass the Beaverkill Fish Hatchery, continue straight to the end of paved road.
Bear right on to Alder Lake park entrance.
You can walk up to the lake and old Cokyendall Lodge.

Return to Beaverkill Road and take a left towards Balsam Mountain Forest Preserve, about another 6 miles.
