Livingston Manor is surrounded by thousands of acres of Forest Preserve. Whether you choose to hike our scenic roads, or venture out into the Catskill Park.
These routes range from challenging mountain treks to easy afternoon strolls. Hiking opportunities abound for people of any interest or ability.


 

The Balsam Lake Mountain Wild Forest is located 18 miles north of Livingston Manor (Route 17). With over 13, 500 acres of "Forever Wild" forest preserve, Balsam Lake Mountain offers over 22 miles of trails, perfect for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing. Learn More
 
 

The Willowemoc Wild Forest is located nine miles northeast of Livingston Manor, the closest village with amenities. Willowemoc Wild Forest contains more than 14,800 acres of Forever Wild Forest Preserve. With an extensive trail network to several ponds. Learn More
